i am excessively fond of monarch butterflies, chocolate chip cookie dough, groveling in the dirt for vegetables, and fried chicken; and in another category, my children and grandchildren and husband. i am probably excessively fond of myself, too, and always laugh at my own jokes. when i find something like a book or movie that i love (it doesn't happen all that often), i watch/read it again and again and wish i could go there and quote it for the rest of my life. i am 60 years old and believe that this is the best version of myself, so far.
i am testing my own version of julia child's wonderful french bread which adds a little bit of whole wheat flour and sourdough. the first couple of versions had various problems, but i think i've got it (by george!). i am also experimenting with making yogurt in a slow cooker (well, in a jar in a slow cooker).
